I have discovered that if I sing the score of The Sound of Music, Daisy stands quietly to be milked. Apparently she is tired of Oklahoma and South Pacific! Ah well. One does what one must.
Unless something very exciting happens, that I desperately need to tell you, I am going to take tomorrow off and focus on the gardens and the writing.
I hope you have a lovely day too.

This is one blog I NEVER miss…I love sitting with my cup of tea and reading about Celi’s life on the farm….so cool.
back in the 70’s i used to ride to work with guy that loved the sould of music.
he could sing just like julie andrews, a large, burley, bearded, julie andrews, of course i had to be the vontrap children.
everybody hated it when we both worked in the same department, because he knew the entire soundtrack from movie
About time too..have a good relax Celi my dear
I know all the words to all the songs too! I’ll start singing to the animals and let you know what happens! 🙂 Have a fabulous ‘day off’ tomorrow!!! xoxoxo
Marcel is looking lovely. Have a great “day off”!
I have a feeling that your ‘day off’ from the blog means you’ll be working like a demon on everything else, not putting up your feet and navel-gazing – farm work doesn’t exactly lend itself to days off, especially at this time of year.
Good for you! have a beautiful day off.
