You wanna come and play, kitty?

So all the kittens were named and presented with name tags. Counted, catagorised, sorted and inspected. Four of them being identical and all that, they had to have names. They were carted about. Taught to dance. Played in towers. Talked to. Watched and watched.

Made new friends.
Kitties as toys. (After the children left they all lay on the floor and slept the rest of the day away).
We did some farming too.
It was warm 40F ( 4C). So we filled the water troughs and marched about the hay bales, before feeding some out.

These children are some of the lucky ones. This is their farm. They say to their friends we are going to the farm after school. The farm, not A farm. The Farm.
Macaroni Cheese is one of their favourite lunches when they come to visit. Not yellow and not out of a box.
Good morning. The coyotes were out howling last night. An old, old sound. An ancient threat. Boo howls back at them from the sensibly safety of the verandah. Then goes back to sleep in his bucket. was it a full moon last night? It was very full. The fields glow silver these nights, denuded of all vegetation as though the light comes from within the ground itself. Exposed by the winter and its moon.
I hope you have a lovely day.
There is a kitten climbing my leg like a tree. Time to get to work!
Love your friend on the farm

You absolutely amaze me!
Miss A just has to be the most photogenic little girl I’ve seen. Kitten with the monkey is the next best, looks like fun was held by all. Enjoy your Sunday. Laura
as always , beautiful, amusing and great stuff. jmgoyder is right ..you are amazing…what will happen to the kitties?
Beautiful …. in many ways. Good morning, C.
When do the kittens all disperse to their promised homes? I think you and Boo and Marmalade are going to miss them badly… What on earth will Nanny Boo do, once Marmie has had her op? Can you find him a small creature to cherish?
Those photos are wonderful, I am almost feeling broody. I want to be five and go play at THE farm. Our farm!
Aaah there is nothing like having kittens in the home! I could spend all day just watching them. Precious little balls of fur that seem to get into all sorts of mischievous doings!! So what are their names? Bet there little name bands didn’t stay on for long.
The little girl looks like a mini miss c. Kids and farms just go together, don’t they?
Aren’t little girls just as enchanting as kittens?! 4 degrees C is definitely not “warm” in my book. It was zero C here this morning. Now grey and wet again after the lovely day yesterday. We’re in for severe gales midweek.
Enjoy your Sunday,
love,
ViV
Children on Miss C’s farm—seems like such a natural fit. The kittens must have had a wonderful day.
Hilarious – I bet the kittens had fun! I was just telling my sister yesterday, that playing in the hayloft is one of my favorite childhood memories 😉
I can almost smell that mac and cheese…yummy. Good day was had by all from the looks of it. Seeing Queenie’s bobby made me miss her all of a sudden. I hope she comes home soon. Which kittens are you keeping? Tweedle dum and Tweedle dee? Have a good Sunday.
Just like you Mad Dog I have fond memories of playing with the cats in the barn.
Just when I thought your kitty posts couldn’t get any more cute, Miss A appears and the cuteness level reaches new heights. I’m surprised she didn’t leave with a kitten or two in her pockets — or did she? 🙂
Have a great Sunday, Celi.
Oh! I almost forgot. Sheila’s party was quite the conversation piece at last night’s party. Everyone loved the idea. Soon I went from “the guy that made limoncello last year” to “the cousin that threw a pig party.” 🙂
How lovely to have the kids come and visit so regularly – such a special way for them to grow up and macaroni and cheese – what a wonderful double treat for them.
I cannot tell you have I love the kitties. They warm my heart so much.
Have a beautiful and hopefully warmer week ahead C.
🙂 Mandy xo
