Timatanga Moana our kunekune pig is back on form. Tima went out into the field with her common law husband Tane Mahuta today for the first time in ages and when Ton brought them back in …
she, ignoring Tane’s warnings about stairs, …
– swung out to Starboard, came up onto the verandah and overturned everything in sight – scattering cats and turkeys – just in case (for some unknown reason) I had hidden food somewhere up there.
.. then smelling good things to eat in the kitchen she knocked at the door to come in.
Um, No, Tima you have been in the field and your feet are FILTHY! Go back to the barn and I will bring carrots.
So she did. And I did.
I hope you have a lovely day.

Having met two potbellied pigs this year for the first time I TOTALLY now get how smart Tima and Tane are. Amazing creatures! Thank you for the morning smile.
smiles ..
“…scattering cats and turkeys…”
I can see it and hear it—squawking from the birds and dirty looks from the cats.
Yes. I am on board with this picture. Much love, Gayle
I like how Ton can get his work done with his stick in his mouth.
Very good news 😉
Citygirl is not only getting won over by Tima, but now admits to an abiding love for same. I can hear my high school classmates giggling at me as they throw their hands up in grudging agreement. Much love to every single member of the Fellowship and their gracious monarch, Miss Celi. She bows low, Gayle
Well, there’s certainly never a dull moment at ‘the farmy’ – that’s for sure!! ; o )
I think Tima came to say a special ‘thank you’ for looking after so well on her difficult day! Love the photo at the door.
A visitor with a smile like that, how can you deny her entrance? She is endearing and so wonderful to see her back to her old self; that was a quick recovery. Actually am surprised that Ton allowed her up on the verandah. Weather is kind’o sort’o dreary today, but it does seem milder and the wind is holding off so, altogether, not unpleasant at all. Hope you’re having a lovely day too! ~ Mame 🙂
She is an absolute Sweetheart, that Tima!!!
Besides looking for food, she just wanted to let you know that she is A-okay! xoxoxo
Looks like everybody wants in!
Lovely about the kunekune couple but my eyes seem to be sighting a huge pile of timber which needs cutting up for winter warmth ere the next snowy bout takes over: no Hugo to call upon either!!
Yes and it is green so it might not be good for this winter – Hugo said he is going to send his brother out to split it! c
Thank you for the nice Timatanga Moana story! This big heap of wood looks like a lot of work to me. Didn’t you say you’re ready and prepared for Winter? I thought Hugo had done all the wood already? Are you able to deal with that big and heavy trunks all by yourself? (Funny, nearly the same thoughts as Eha! Haha.)
And you, Celi? Are you back on form, too? – Have a lovely evening and a good night!
Here we have some grim after midnight stormes right now…
I can NEVER have enough wood or enough hay – so I never say no if a neighbours tree falls down in a storm!! And yes thank you darling – I am back on form ! Steaming along.. c
You made me laugh! Thank you, Celi! I’d like to offer you my neighbour’s tree from my heart, if the storm would get over it…
Oh yes! I would love your neighbours tree – with the lights of course!
I think I would want in your kitchen too. Now do you really talk to her that way? Tima, I will bring you carrots….
so happy to read that Timatanga Moana is back in high spirits, and up to her usual antics, such a relief 🙂
We have a LOT of wood from last year’s storms cut and ready – wish I could send it to you! We arrived home tonight to find broken trees everywhere. The ice storm yesterday did a lot of damage. I guess I know what I will be doing for a few weeks! I’m so happy Tima is back in the game. She looks fabulous! 😀
