Driving for Pizza

Yesterday evening after a somewhat muddly day I drove over to a small American midwest country town, that has a real live Italian chef, to buy some good pizza for this New Zealand farmer to take back home to my prairie kitchen for dinner.  Some days it is such a relief to leave the dinner to someone else.

These were the skies I drove under.

Travelling East.

Then the return trip travelling West 30 minutes later (I treated myself to one very nice glass of wine sitting very happily all alone at the little bar – the Italian chef’s wife knows her wines!).

Just BooBoo and I and a big, big sky.

I hope you have a lovely day.

  1. Your prairie skies and low clouds always give me the feeling I should creep along the ground like a cat in stealth mode 🙂 Laura

  2. Amazing photos! The second one looks to me like waves rolling up on a beach. Wine, fine pizza and beautiful skies, and Boo right there sounds like a perfect Friday evening.

  3. What an exquisite sky! It looks almost surreal. Sometimes there is nothing quite as relaxing as a pizza, glass of wine and my own company.

      • That is awesome my sweet friend! You so need to take more time for yourself. I know! That’s like me telling mom to do that. But sometimes, you just need a little pampering – even if it is a few minutes with a glass of wine 🙂 Love you bunches – sending major hogs and snout kisses. XOXO – Bacon

  4. Excellent choice for last night. I miss The Big Sky show sometimes here in the woods, so then I have to go down to the lighthouse point and get my fill. Love your clouds!

  5. just thought about my piggy T shirt I ordered…..can you confirm that all is correct please
