Yesterday evening after a somewhat muddly day I drove over to a small American midwest country town, that has a real live Italian chef, to buy some good pizza for this New Zealand farmer to take back home to my prairie kitchen for dinner. Some days it is such a relief to leave the dinner to someone else.
These were the skies I drove under.
Then the return trip travelling West 30 minutes later (I treated myself to one very nice glass of wine sitting very happily all alone at the little bar – the Italian chef’s wife knows her wines!).
Just BooBoo and I and a big, big sky.
I hope you have a lovely day.

That is the most amazing sky and it almost looks like a pizza topping!
Gorgeous skies, every one.
Beautiful 😀 Cheers 🍷
beautiful –
That last sunset shot is wonderful. I hope the pizza was everything you anticipated – sometimes it’s exactly what you need.
I only ate a little then I was well .. c
I agree with the previous comment, I saw pizza in the skies too! Nothing quite like a wood fired pizza.
Another Beatles idea! Pizza in the sky
Beautiful sunset!
yes – a chill in the air this morning too – in a while our geese will be flying back to you
Your prairie skies and low clouds always give me the feeling I should creep along the ground like a cat in stealth mode 🙂 Laura
What a delightful image! c
Amazing photos! The second one looks to me like waves rolling up on a beach. Wine, fine pizza and beautiful skies, and Boo right there sounds like a perfect Friday evening.
Yes, Boo sitting in the passenger seat the whole way. c
What an exquisite sky! It looks almost surreal. Sometimes there is nothing quite as relaxing as a pizza, glass of wine and my own company.
yes – i will have to be careful not to make it a habit
Beautiful pictures my sweet friend. I’m glad you took some time to yourself for a change. Kudo’s to YOU!! XOXO – Bacon
It was just lovely – sitting in a nice bar – just relaxing with a glass of wine – with no-one asking me for anything
That is awesome my sweet friend! You so need to take more time for yourself. I know! That’s like me telling mom to do that. But sometimes, you just need a little pampering – even if it is a few minutes with a glass of wine 🙂 Love you bunches – sending major hogs and snout kisses. XOXO – Bacon
Excellent choice for last night. I miss The Big Sky show sometimes here in the woods, so then I have to go down to the lighthouse point and get my fill. Love your clouds!
lucky to have a lighthouse though
Very true!
I hope the pizza was at least half as luscious as those impressive skies. A toast to a girl and her dog having a quiet moment alone. Nothing better.
True that
just thought about my piggy T shirt I ordered…..can you confirm that all is correct please

Corn harvest! Or are they chopping silage?
Linda
No just harvesting the maize – it has been going on for a few weeks now – the air is pink with the harvest haze. c
CORN HARVEST! I hope we can do ours much earlier than last year. January was just way too long to wait to harvest.
