Still windy and rainy.
But we are adapting. We found a farmers market and it had a junk table. In the rain.

This is such a tiny little town. The sand literally blows down the roads filling the gutters and covering the beachy gardens. There is a big beautiful dune planting project underway which I am sure will make a difference.
But these things take time.

Our little house is a little further away from the beach behind the dunes – we walk down a couple of times a day.

And gather things. Mostly pumice. There is no rubbish on this beach, just piles of driftwood.

I have people waiting.
I’ll be back soon.
Take care now. Hug your little ones. And your old ones. Us old ones need hugs too.

wowee- that’s quite the weather you are having! But time with the family is priceless! Have fun! xoxo
Yes! Though I did expect it. It is winter after all.
That’s right-I forgot that! Happy days to you!
Cecilia, you’re not missing any sunshine back in Illinois. We are flooded in Chicago.
Oh no. That is bad. We have wheat almost ready to harvest.
It looks beautiful regardless!
It does! Today is so windy we could not even get down there – the wind is blowing right off the sea.
I know that one – in Cornwall the rain is horizontal!
The sand always tries to reclaim territory. It will win in the end, someday; it has such terrifying persistence and patience. Meanwhile, us mayfly humans pretend we are not the interlopers!
Indeed – which is why I hope none of these motorbikes ride through these dunes – they are so important to a beach,
Old beach towns… I love it when progress hasn’t found them.
Certainly very little progress here – a beautiful beach but not pleasant so far. When the little ones have gone back to their parents the older kids and I will go on some longer walks. That will be better.
Still sounds nice, near the ocean, even with bad weather. Planting on the dunes to help with sand erosion sounds awesome. That will take time but an important project. Enjoy the long walk on the beach!
Back to short walks again today . The wind is back up! Maybe it will die down this afternoon.
Time for inside games, puzzles, talking and just hanging out! Just love the last picture! Beautiful! xo
