Yesterday was way more than the day I expected.

I had a day for myself. Actually an afternoon, but it felt like a day. A whole afternoon for myself and a good friend. So yeah, the only photo I took was this one. (Below) (The sunrise was from this morning).
A lovely drop, too!

I know it is a family rule that we do not drink wine with animals on the label but this was only half an animal? And my son said it was ok as long as I hid the evidence. So I did.
It was a lovely afternoon-day.

Good haul from the local restaurant yesterday, too. Piles of cabbages and lettuce. I am not averse to nicking a cabbage out of the pig bucket!!
My favourite reel of the week. With a question. Always with a question.
I need to go out and change the chicks bedding. They eat a lot and poop a lot too!
Have a lovely day!
Whatever day it is there.
Saturday here but all days are work days on The Farmy!

Ha ha – I’m very fond of animal wines (especially pigs) – they have become very popular in Spain and it looks like the trend has arrived in Italy!
It was a lovely rose too. And you know they can go either way!
They can. Somebody from Marseilles taught me to look for higher alcohol percentages in a rosé (12.5º or 13º), because it means the grapes contained more sugar and therefore make better wines.
With the extra Spanish sunshine, I’m rarely disappointed by a rosado.
I picked 4lb of sloes today!
That is really good info! Thank you! 4 pounds of sloe plums is good! I have our plums in gin now. Dying to taste it.
It definitely works with French rosé, lower alcohol French ones can be too dry, but Spanish rosado can be good from 11.5º – though that’s the stuff sold as table wine in restaurants and it has to taste OK or the restauranteurs won’t take it!
Very beautiful video. You really made me think!
It is a hard question to answer – especially if you want to be quite honest. No Instagram answers allowed.
I’m so glad you had an afternoon for you
It was really lovely too. Met up with an old school friend. We have known each other for a very long time! But inky see each other occasionally.
So very important, those rare days to oneself. Wonderful!
Hi Celi. Am I being particularly obtuse? I still can’t find how to set up the monthly $10 for Wai. Please send me a link.

Ok! Are you in PayPal! I will email tomorrow. Thank you so much for working on this – Wai will love having you as his sponsor! We will work it out.
Thanks.
I love the photographs…..:)
I love your son. He is very wise and funny. 🙂 Glad you had a good day.
How do we begin to tell somebody about who we are…? Very good question indeed! Especially if one has led a life a bit, or a lot, outside of what might be considered ‘the norm.” I just love the shot in the video of Quackers representing the chook flock!!! 🙂
Do you count whales as off limits on your wine labels? If so, you are dismissing some amazing Marlborough wines from NZ… I’m so happy you’ve had a satisfying ‘me’ day.
I will drink anything from the Marlborough region. I love those dancing lilac and jasmine notes from the stony soils around there!
I do love a nice cold climate white! Some lovely wines from southwest Tasmania, too.
We must get together and discuss wines one day!! I will look out for whites from S Tasmania – I will look into the online wine stores. The selection down here would make you cry!
