Here Comes the Sun!

Rejoice! The sun!

I am doing a little jig in my head!

I will write quickly and get dressed and out there to work in the sun and absorb some Vitamin D. Before the clouds gather again. Though. Even sitting inside writing feels like a new world. With all this bright buttery sun shining in the windows.

Little Quacker is still here! And fully into the chaos of the day as you can see HERE.

Most of the snow and ice and mud has reluctantly dried up so Him Indoors can do the morning pig chores again. I will continue all the heavy stuff but I think he can begin the mornings so I can write at the right time. Next week I am off to California for a week. (Our first chance to take TKG TAKE10 traveling) so we need to knock the kinks out of his morning routine.

And I like creating systems.

Look at the tail Mr Flowers is growing. And it is still growing!

TTT ( the tall teenager, who is not a teenager anymore, will be doing the heavy stuff while I am away). Plus I am getting home help in for the MiL. I need a whole team to replace me! 🤭

Black cat in barn with rooster and hay behind

A rare sighting of the stray black cat.

I have been cleaning the barn floor so it is easier for Him Indoors to get around inside the barn, and all that old straw has been spread out the front of the barn to cover the stippled mud – hopefully this helps.

Here is a short clip from a TEN that I did not use yesterday. Often I do more than one Take to get something with good sound.

It is new for me to make these shorts from the editing floor. So I will rev up my UTube again. But I must remember to smile more when I am on camera! Fun!

Good morning! I cannot bear to be inside one more second! The clouds are gathering! I must away.

The cows breakfast awaits.

Have a lovely morning.

See you this evening at TKG TAKE10.

  1. I am so glad that you are taking time away. I do wonder though, how many newcomers will have joined the farmy collective by the time you come back. Someone is spreading the word locally that Celi has a great place to live.

  2. It’s sunny here today and I had a lovely 10 mile cycle this morning. Hopefully I can plant out some baby broad beans plants this afternoon.
I think Little Quacker wants to stay!

  3. YES! SUNSHINE! Actual bright sunshine earlier. Now there is a general thin cloud cover but still enough sun shining through to make a bit of shadows. Warm too. 55F! Things coming up as well, fortunately mostly stuff that can stand some cold weather yet to come. One night next week shows a forecast of 26! But I’m going to make hay while the sun shines and go for a walk in the park.

Little Quacker might just decide to settle down and make your home his home. All that free (at least for his pocketbook) food might be pretty persuasive. But he/she does make a nice companion for Quacker which counts for something I suppose.

  4. Nice to have Little Quacker back! I hope the California weather treats you well. I’ve spent a lot of time in Southern California and it’s usually fairly warm and pleasant there. Fingers crossed! Yes, a team to replace you–I totally get that. Between my mother, my cat and my grandsons, it’s tough for me to get away.

  5. Good morning, Cecilia,

Sunshine! Everyone looks happier today. That’s one fantastic tail Mr. Flowers is sporting this year. Looking forward to seeing full plumage! I’m not surprised it takes a village to replace you, and I’m very grateful you have them.

    Blessed day to you, Patti

  6. I’m partial to black cats and that stray is a beauty. Guess I have missed something what is MiL? I’m guessing mother-in-law?

  7. That black cat is like a hole in the universe, swallowing light. He’s beautiful. I love the shot of Boo, Little Quacker and Tima all together. It reminds me of the old photos where people are just standing around ‘casually’, but in reality carefully posed for the long exposure.
