Home Again, Home Again Jiggedy Jig

Back on the farm. Back to the heavy cloud. Sepia world.

They left my car at the airport – I was getting in late – so I could drive myself back into the country and that worked well.

All the animals are the same.

The tractor is parked at the bottom of tue porch steps.

Quacker and her wild friend are still here.

Black Cat had been sighted a number of times and apparently TomKat has been waiting on the porch to lead their minder to the barn for breakfast each morning.

Him Indoors has received a clean bill of health and it appears his health crisis has been averted.

The cows and pigs are all going well.

I guess there are still chickens because John was cooking eggs for the pigs this morning. I added FreeBee to the list for scrambled eggs every morning. It gets him up and about. He takes so long to eat the dry food, giving Jude time to come back in and steal it.

It is snowing. Persistent snow. Lightly falling.

I am in recovery mode. Just for today. It has been a very busy few days driving kids all over, looking after sick kids. Doing all those chores that a single Dad does not get to. I did miss the daily blogging but found I had nothing good to say as his tormented divorce gets more and more toxic. It is just plain depressing. But you would have been able to stay in touch at TKG Take Ten. I loaded Disneyland there for your viewing pleasure!

It was fun!

Ok.

Good morning.

Once I have my desk set up again I will rug up and wander out to take some farm photos for you. We have all missed the calm of the farm!

Love Celi

  1. So happy to know you’re home safe and to see sights on the farm! What a mix- to leave a stressful, toxic (for son) environment and come home to positive health news and the farmy functioning as it should. The pull must be strong on both sides but I suspect the routines of the farm will help for a time. I know they would for me.

  2. Home again home again, joggety jog! So good to have you back. All sounds good on the farmy and brilliant news re John. Try not to rush helter skelter into everything(some hopes)!

  3. Happy you are home and that Him Inside got a clean bill of health. So sorry about your son’s toxic divorce, though. All your people are lucky to have you!

  4. So very glad things on the health/medical front are looking good but so very sad to see someone you love dealing with a wretched toxic situation. It took me years to realize I simply cannot fix everything for everyone.

  5. Travel and stress will bring out those viruses–in my opinion as a non-medical person. It must be wonderful to be back with the familiar and animals are great therapy. That’s sad about your son’s toxic divorce. My younger daughter (with a 7-month-old baby) is in a horrible on-off relationship that is extremely disturbing to me. But I have no control over it, so I try to do what I can and let go of a lot.

    • Plus I am sure a place like Disneyland is a breeding ground. We were frequently in huge crowds. Sorry to hear about your daughter. But you are right, as mothers we can only stand by and jump in when requested. No one likes unsolicited advice – often they just want an ear.

  6. I have missed a big chunk of your adventures/recent posts because of being away and staying in a place so beautiful the powers that be decided that phone signal and any sort of internet were totally unnecessary. I’m back now and when I have finished all the laundry and cleaning of the caravan and putting away of random stuff, I hope to sit down and catch up. But that won’t be till tomorrow. I’m glad you’re home safely.
