People tell me that I should take photos all in a day then make five posts from them and send them out like other content creators all scheduled to go out day after day.
A good use of my time they say.
Efficient use of my content they say.
WRONG! Here is why:
Things on the farm change literally EVERY DAY. Even Friday feels too long ago to be reporting on!
Plus!
I LIKE writing to you every morning. (Though remember that I am going away for a week to do some work in CA so — I will pop in but no Farmy for a week). 😔
Over the weekend:
Freebee and Jude had housekeeping. Their field and bed and fences (and the back of the henhouse) are all ready for the winter.
A chick escaped in the morning yesterday then could not fit back through the same escape tunnel by the afternoon because it GREW so fast.

The TKG SUNDAY NEWSLETTER – With a walk about and a Farmy roundup! Pop over. I really appreciate your support for the newsletter and videos there.
The PopPops – where do I start? Things might get out of hand (with escaping) while I am away so I am going to set up a play area in the barn. Check out the walk about video in the TKG SUNDAY NEWSLETTER to see the PopPops running through their field!
A cow licked the seat of my Bad Girl mower tow-er. Yuck! (Mower Tow-er rhymes!). While I was feeding out hay.

The end of bacon, lettuce and tomato season is approaching. Misery.
The corn is starting to RUSTLE. (I just need caps this morning – bear with me).

Dear Mad: I made wild plum brandy!

I had to have a wee dram before I leave for California – tomorrow. Maybe I will have another tonight! It is quite DIVINE!
The Charlottes have declared the Mad King’s Garden: Finished. Finito. All done. 19 out of 10 – (pigs are useless at maths).

I would close the gate but they sleep in here at night so – yeah. Not sure what to do about that!

A photo of the duck flock rushing at speed to the pond. They are molting – so there are feathers everywhere!

And last nights sunset.

The seasons they are achanging. Always changing. Overnight sometimes.

Moving at speed. And. Never. EVER. Going to be a proper content creator and hold photos back for later publication. You get all yesterday’s images today. Period. PROMISE!
The Kitchen’s Garden is up to the minute.
Have a great day.
Celi

All lovely shots, especially of the corn. Yes, it changes daily, especially at this time of year. Today, I noticed more color in the leaves already.
It is creeping up on us!
Daily Farmy news is best 😉
That brandy looks fabulous! Those Charlottes have done an amazing job on the garden and so nice to see Quacker on parade with the new ducks.
That is the sweetest – right? The ducks are almost always together now and no aggression that I can see. So happy for our old Quacker.
That’s fantastic, she must have been lonely!
Oh the brandy looks delicious.
Indeed it is!!
You are the proper-est content creator in all the land. We’d hate it if you changed.
Daily early morning blog writing is ingrained – I am sure I could not stop if I tried!!
Nothing like happy piggies, and happy ducks. Your farm has to be the happiest place on earth!
it is a very happy place today but hot! It is getting hot again!
Your “content” is so much better and so satisfying. Please never change the way you show us life. Hope the the trip goes well.
I won’t change – though I do find it fascinating how people get our blogging all wrong. It is not about consistently showing up it is about consistently showing up with good fresh interesting stuff.
totally agree. probably a big reason I’m not a regular blogger. I have a boring life!
l SO agree, please don’t change A THING. Poppops in yesterday’s video made me so happy. Quacker’s contentment makes me smile. Have a good trip and don’t bust a gut to write, we know you’ll be back soon to educate and amuse us.Thank you🙏🏼
Yes! I’ll be back but I will miss you!
Oh Ceci….I so much love, love coming here to see you. You truly do brighten my world.
Jo
hey there Jo! Always a pleasure to get one of your lovely comments!! Welcome!
Wow, it really grew that fast? Brandy looks beautiful!
the brandy is quite quite divine!
I love seeing your daily updates and photos! Safe travels to California.
Oh dear… I have been focusing on finishing up a webpage I’ve designed for our local Historical Society. Well … local when I was still living up ‘north’ in our village. Will always be home. And with our daughter’s family there we are up for a visit every few weeks. I had to chuckle at the comment about spreading your photos out over a week. I totally relate to the aim of ‘writing’ as the goal. Not even necessarily writing to be read. (Although that is a real bonus here at TKG.) Writing … because writing is like your morning cup of tea. Your brain ‘get up and go’ signal. And then later you can come back to your community.
