Eulogy for a dog . Wellington Dog

I’m writing over on Substack now, and that’s where this little corner of the world has moved. I’d love you to come with me.

If you subscribe there, you’ll get the same stories, the same news from the farm and gardens and travels- and plenty of photographs – delivered straight to you.

Go HERE.

Today’s post is a hard one. We said goodbye to my beloved sheepdog, TonTon. If you’ve known him through the years, you’ll understand the weight of that sentence. The fellowship over there has been turning up with kindness, memories, and quiet words, and it’s meant more than I can say.

Come and join us.

The door is open.

Go HERE to join us in saying goodbye to TonTon. My good dog. Join the Fellowship of the Farmy gathering there.

Lots of love Celi

  1. So sorry to hear of Ton Ton’s demise. I felt like I got to know him all those years ago when I painted his portrait😥.

    • Christine how wonderful to hear from you! Yes! I still have his portrait on the wall. You got his eyes and soulful look exactly right. John has taken Big Dogs picture down into his den. It is one of his treasures.
How lovely to hear from you. You take care now way out there!

  2. so sorry to hear about TonTon. I loved the way he would put a stick in his mouth when he was “working”. You gave him a good life and he will be missed.
