But Time to go. We worked hard but now all my farm clothes are washed and dried in the sun and put away in bags until I return. And all the clothes I packed for the wedding in California are waiting …
This is a rather awkward work-around solving my my problem of not being able to upload new images here on WordPress (without upgrading) – so let me know in the comments whether the links are working.
It was fast. The trip to the USA and back. Just enough to remind me of the enormous amount of work ahead of me in bringing the farm back online.
Just long enough to almost break my heart leaving again.
This morning I am writing to you from Victoria, Australia. 🦔
It is raining. Not too cold. There are figs on my little fig tree and the tomatoes and zuchinni are standing by waiting for the soil to warm up just a tiny bit more before planting
We are now entering the last phase of this period of child minding in Aussie. Mums are mums forever and if a child asks for help we will always answer. Happily. However in a few months – not quite sure when – my full time presence here will no longer be needed. And back to the farm we will go.
I am also planning on a little tour of New Zealand before I leave. So I can catch up on all my lovelies before leaving this side of the world for a while again..
My plan is to get back on my yearly visits. As long as the energy crisis does not deepen. Which it might. So we all need to take appropriate precautions and be prepared.
And I have to try and not get ahead of myself – this little family needs me for a little longer yet

You do not look like you’ve been dragged through a bush backwards, but I’d sure rather see that picture than an AI created one, especially with the ethical and environmental issues associated with them :-(.
