Wild Frost
The frost yesterday began with a heavy mist that hung about for hours. At 11f (-11C) it was frigid. It was my last delivery day for hogs and I was driving blind.

SHOWING COLD
Pictures don’t show the cold. This just looks like a sunny day right? But it is really cold. I don’t think the cold came too early as much as really too fast. With no autumn.

FITTING IT ALL IN
As with any addition to ones life the next few days will be a shuffle reconfiguring my day to fit study into my daily routine. I am creating a new timetable and so far so good.

ARE YOU MY MOTHER?
Jude approaches everyone on the farm with the fearless inquisitiveness of the very young. I just let him wander about for the meantime. Let him explore.

SELLING COWS
I think Jude is eating too much pasta! He is definitely achieving my objective of ‘fatness’ before the cold settles in. Soon he will be too big to pick up.
