“Where is the snow then? They said there was snow. Has someone been fooling about? Why wasn’t my gate opened earlier?”

“Say what? What is she on about? The snow melted hours ago. All those sheep do is sleep and shout!”
“OI! Enough of this loafing about. Back to work the lot o ya! What d’ya think this is. A holdiday Camp?”
Policeman Mama is back on patrol.
See how her belly is curving slightly downwards. I think there are lambies in there. When she is close to lambing that will be a pronounced belly. I can’t tell for sure yet though. We will know in a month or so. Lambs put on the most weight in the last month – six weeks. But it is good to see her standing on all four legs. She has such a Roman nose that sheep!!

PS. For those of you who are new, all the photos for a Farmy page like this, are taken within the day, often within an hour. This is my challenge. This means that these are Current Farmy Affairs. celi.

No snow here in the N’East, either!
Welcome! Well you will get the snow first, so let me know if there is any on the way! c
Beautiful guinea hens. Do you eat them?
No, they are decoration, they have been around a while now.. though the old settlers used to eat them..c
Beautiful photos, Celi! What are the birds? Is one a guinea? This is probably showing my ignorance! I can’t wait to find out if there is a lamb in Mama’s belly!
yes those are guineas, so you are not ignorant at all.! Remember mama has four lambs last time, so we will see c
Ha ha – you seem to have come over all cockney 😉
All girl sheep speak cockney! except for Hairy MaClairy, he speaks Naughty French! c
LOL, how cute is he..am sure he love snow like I do
Sheep don’t mind the snow at all. All that wool! they are better dressed than I am! c
Current farmy affairs look good.
all present and correct! c
Glad to see your sheep is out and about, and on the job! 😉 ~ Lynda
Thank you Lynda, have a great day out there! c
I love it that your American animals speak with NZ accents. Funny how that happens.
Oh no, I was shooting for cockney, I should give one animal a real NZld voice, it really would make you laugh!! Maybe Queenie, but she is too young to talk yet.. c
Glad to see that mama is out and about. It looks like all is well on the farmy.
yup all is well today! Things pop up so fast though so best i stay aware!.. c
Thank you for your kind words and visiting my little blog! I must confess, the snow was a few weeks ago and I took lots of pictures. I could not have imagined that the snow would be all gone and not even a touch of white remains!
I love your sheep and critters! My hope is to add a sheep to my “little petting zoo”.
I’m looking forward to your lamb pictures.
Stacey
There certainly will be lamb pics if all goes well, great to see you Stacy and welcome! c
Yups! it’s another day at the farm huh! they seem to have a pretty good idea about how the weather is lol 🙂
She is glad to be back outside.. c
Of course I love the last shot best: Mama back on steady foursquare stance, with Mary’s Cat keeping an eye on the Big Dog keeping an eye on the chooks. So cheering! A fine day down on the farmy indeed.
Exactly Kathryn, She certainly was well grounded! and that lazy pack of layabouts in the back ground! c
Lovin’ the farmy pics. The dog and kitty in the background caught my eye in the last shot – very cute. 🙂
Did you notice how many roosters there are in the background Kristy.. hmm.. c
It looks like the farmy is doing well. Nice to see mama out and about…I know she is happy.
i think that sheep hate to be inside Karen, they are out long after the lazy cows have taken themselves back into the barn.. c
I love the conversations your animals bring to your posts. Guinea fowl may be good lookers, but they’re raucus, noisy so and sos. Great to eat, too – loads more flavour than chicken.
They are raucous for sure, but great at spotting hawks. They always let me know if there is a hawk about! .. c
