I am a little late this morning because I thought we could watch the sunrise together. So I fed the animals early and had the camera out for sunrise. In the end I could not even feel my finger press the button to release the shutter. As you can see we had a wee bit of snow last night, then wind, so the world is crunchy with fresh frozen icy snow. Now it is time for my coffee and hot refried mashed potatoes, with a fresh egg for breakfast.
Good morning everyone!

Lovely poem, Cecilia. And I love the last shot with the icy branches.
Morning and thank you.. c
Love the shots…hope your fingers are thawed by now!
It’s so warm here this morning, I took the Angel out to stomp in the puddles.
Photos on Monday – I think.
Such a strange winter…
Puddle jumpers, kids love puddles what a good gran!! c
The cold certainly has no respect for your poor fingers! I hope that tasty breakfast warmed up the rest of you well. Something particularly alluring about photo #3 in this set . . . it was worth getting all frozed-up for these–at least from *my* cozy perspective! Thanks, Celi!
I especially love light through the ice too.. like a whole world lives in there! c
I can appreciate the beauty of ice, cold and snow from the inside looking out. But you appreciate it even from the outside. Hats off to you (but keep the earmuffs on!). You beautiful optimism shines through in all your writing and photos.
Ronnie
Morning Ronnie. and thank you that was a really kind this to say. Wish i had some ear muffs sometimes! but my pom pom hat does suffice! c
Good morning C!
These are stunning. Enjoy the weekend 🙂
morning giovanna, hope you are all having a good weekend too! c
Beautiful C, it makes getting up early all worth while. When I travel to work in the winter months I often wish I had my camera, I must get into the habit of taking it along.
It is a great idea to have a purse camera.. I need to take mine along more often as well.. c
I loved all the pictures Cecilia but my favorite is the last one, the texture of the ice, the color gradient in the sky..the crystals out of focus to the left..thank you for sharing Cecilia

Even though you couldn’t feel your fingers, your photos are beautiful. But, it sure does look cold! And I guess it will be like this for another month at least.
