Tomorrow if you have time to come and visit me.
You might see more of these pictures.
Then we will know that Plan A has failed, I am still on the farm and Plan B is being trundled out into the drive. That’s OK though. Plan B is not too terrible but it would include missing my sons wedding. But no lives are threatened. No pain sits under our skins. No life would be irrevocably changed if my new passport, being rushed back from the UK, does not arrive on time. Plan B would be OK too.
However if Lady Luck, who is not always a Lady, has smiled on me…
… you will see pictures of planes and travel, and a shiny passport, and I will see the smiling faces of my sons and their lovely ladies.
You will smell crisp mountain air with me.
and see ski lodges and the hear the purr of bubbles against the glass. You might remember your last wedding…
and go to check to make sure your passport is current.
We shall see won’t we. At noon I am going to optimistically climb on the airport bus with my little bags and travel the two hours to the airport where I will wait to see if the passport has arrived. If it doesn’t turn up then I will call the Darling Travel Agent, change the tickets again and catch the next bus back to the farm.
But, if my Good Friend (don’t tell him I put in his link, as he would rather not have the fuss, but his food is as fine as his kindness) does find The Package containing my new passport loitering with intent at the Couriers office, he is going to rush it across town to where I will be waiting on the airport bench outside Departures surrounded in plans and tender tenterhooks and if I make the plane bound for Calgary at 6.30 pm then you will hear the shouts of relief and delight from your place.
We will see, won’t we. I will try to send you an update in the evening but (shh – whisper this) I might be in the Air! How do planes stay up there in the sky anyway, being a bear of little brain I think it must be magic too.
And I have a question, I will have my Kindle with me. What book should I read while I am waiting? What have you read lately? I have read everything on the last list we made. It is time to make another! If I get away I will be away a week. I bet I get some reading time!
Have a lovely day.
I hope Plan A works today. You have all been so wonderful, your comments have quite literally got me through this ridiculous mess I got myself into.
And as you know. You can’t go Over it. You can’t go Under it. You have to go Through it. (This quote is from a book I used to read to my children called The Bear Hunt – it has become the Family Line.)
Now I am going to get farming, then wash my hair and Prepare for whatever the universe sends me today. Thank you Magical Fellowship of the Farmy. You are my stars.
your friend, celi

Praying that you will be able to make the trip!
Waiting with you…even as the Little Ones and I head out to the strawberry farm…Much Love, C!
And, to your Good Friend (like there was any doubt who it was!), you’re the best 😀
if
quite a large word
also the center letters in the word life
hope your if is plan a
so do I Ron.. there are a lot of ifs in life for sure.. c
I think your plane just passed overhead; the question is are you on it? You will be with your son whether it be in person or in your heart.
the book I just finished will give you thanks for being free in this country, although New Zealand would be fine as well. It is called Infidel by Aayan Hirsi Ali. She was born a Muslim in Somalia and tells about what life was like for women. She finally escapes to Holland to run from an arranged marriage.
So we’re back to the subject of marriages again, Celi. Soooo…..
hoping hoping for you Celi x
I’m not sure I can live with the suspense! Still have everything from finger to eyes crossed and sending positive energy. Update just as soon as you can dearest. 🙂
It will work. it will work. it will work.
I’ll repeat as I go off to bale hay.
Oh lucky you .. baling hay.. hopefully we can get some of that in soon! c
A the reading list, Pooh. Well this is not really a book for a bear or a person of little brain, but since we know that was not true, we’ll spit it out anyway: Jonathan Englander’s “What We Talk About When We Talk About Anne Frank.” Not light plane reading, but a really beautifully written intense book. On the other side, and simultaneously, I read Tiny Fey’s “Bossypants.” I know, everyone in the US has already read it. But I’m behind the times. I laughed out loud a lot. And that is telling you something. I am still thinking Plan A is smiling on you. But I love it that you have a Plan B. That’s the producer in you (which, by the way, didn’t surprise me at all! You are producer through-and-through! I love that about you. Just makin’ stuff happen…)
🙂 I hope to peruse my feedly blog follower and see your SMILING FACE in our neighbors country 🙂
Plan A – definitely!. Congratulations all round to the wedding party and I’m looking forward to seeing Calgary. 🙂 Laura
Good Luck dear friend and safe travels, pleasant flight and gentle touch downs! For I KNOW you will be on that plane!!
Here’s an optimistic “Have a great trip!” The glass is half full! 😀 Have a great day, Celi!
Everything’s crossed at this end!
Christine
There is no Plan B. You will be on that plane this afternoon!
😉
Xxxxxxxxxxx – those are extra crosses I’m sending you, since we all have everything crossed already . And godspeed for safe and timely travels for both you and your shiny new passport.
