Now, what is going to happen today?!

Tomorrow if you have time to  come and visit me.

morning-004

You might see more of these pictures.

morning-006

Then we will know that Plan A has failed, I am still on the farm and Plan B is being trundled out into the drive. That’s OK though. Plan B is not too terrible but it would include missing my sons wedding.  But no lives are threatened. No pain sits under our skins.  No life would be irrevocably changed if my new passport, being rushed back from the UK, does not arrive on time. Plan B would be OK too.

morning-007

However if Lady Luck, who is not always a Lady, has smiled on me…

morning-009

… you will see pictures of planes and travel, and a shiny passport, and I will see the smiling faces of my sons and their lovely ladies.

morning-015

You will smell crisp mountain air with me.

morning-019

and see ski lodges and the hear the purr of bubbles against the glass.  You might remember your last wedding…

morning-021

and go to check to make sure your passport is current.

morning-026

We shall see won’t we.  At noon I am going to optimistically climb on the airport bus with my little bags and travel the two hours to the airport where I will wait to see if the passport has arrived. If it doesn’t turn up then I will call the Darling Travel Agent, change the tickets again and catch the next bus back to the farm.

But, if my Good Friend (don’t tell him I put in his link, as he would rather not have the fuss, but his food is as fine as his kindness) does find The Package containing my new passport loitering with intent  at the Couriers office, he is going to rush it across town to where I will be waiting on the airport bench outside Departures surrounded in plans and tender tenterhooks and if I make the plane bound for Calgary at 6.30 pm then you will hear the shouts of relief and delight from your place.

We will see, won’t we.  I will try to send you an update in the evening but (shh  – whisper this) I might be in the Air! How do planes stay up there in the sky anyway, being a bear of little brain I think it must be magic too.

And I have a question, I will have my Kindle with me.  What book should I read while I am waiting? What have you read lately? I have read everything on the last list we made. It is time to make another!  If I get away I will be away a week. I bet I get some reading time!

Have a lovely day.

I hope Plan A works today. You have all been so wonderful, your comments have quite literally got me through this ridiculous mess I got myself into.

And as you know. You can’t go Over it. You can’t go Under it. You have to go Through it.  (This quote is from a book I used to read to my children called The Bear Hunt – it has become the Family Line.)

Now I am going to get farming, then wash my hair and Prepare for whatever the universe sends me today. Thank you Magical Fellowship of the Farmy.  You are my stars.

your friend, celi

  1. Your good friend is fabulous! I hope it’s all good news, shouts of joy and hugs today. I had forgotten the bear hunt until reading those words. It brought back some childhood memories. Good luck today C!

  2. Have you read Gabriel García Márquez’s books? Love in the Time of Cholera or 1000 Years of Solitude

The imagery he creates with words is loud, bold, and wild. And big. His writing reminds me of Botero’s paintings and sculptures. And there is a sort of tortured or anxious thread in the books that may work well with anxious, tortured waiting.

    • ooops, that would be 100 years of solutude. Not 1000. *I* was living in what felt like 1000 years of solitude when I read the book 🙂

  3. Hoping Plan A falls into place as planned. Sending positive energies that it will and that you’ll be raising your glass with the family tonight!!! xoxoxo

  4. “It will be what it will be…” as my Mother ALWAYS answered after my 100th tortured “What if….?” question….. Plan A is the BEST that it could be….. Hoping for the best for you and all concerned! ….XXXXX fingers crossed!

  5. We have called and they are not sure whether they put the package out for delivery by mistake or it is still in the depot being processed.. hoping for the latter, the delivery time may be too late for the plane.. c

  6. (can’t stand not knowing, but afraid to open the computer and read)
    Plan A! Plan A!
It’s like Peter Pan when Tinkerbell’s in trouble and all the children must help her.
    Plan A!
Sometime wishes are horses- ones with great wings of optimism

  8. OK! I called the courier and wept into the phone, she called franklin park and said i have a weeping woman, then we were all weeping and after a while the package was found and is now available for pick up so Our Good Friend of The Fellowship has leapt into his Batmobile and is on his way over there to grab it right now before it slips through another crack. Mercy! Is it too early for a drink!! c
