Have you ever made funny faces for a baby…

But the baby does not care…

Poor BooBoo.

No more laughing, it hurts to laugh. But every time I look at that shot this morning I laugh out loud.

Then look what Baby Marmalade did next …

Went to sleep in my sewing basket.. Poor BooBoo… Poor Sewing.

And as if our grey day yesterday was not grey enough, the man across the road is ploughing all the golden under, my landscape sinks into the sleepy sepia now. twon-004

I spent a good part of yesterday back on the couch. Seeing to Kupa up in the loft has taken its toll.  I will let him out today. I can not climb that ladder more than once more. He can take the second part of the worm program with the great unwashed and very common fowl.

We have two major pens and the chook house to clean out before the freeze and here I am still incapacitated.  (Deeply frustrating) And the temps are due to plummet by Friday. It may be that the chooks will just get a couple of new bales of straw to lay on top of the debris. It is more important to get the hospital wing pen ready for Mama.  Then we will see how much time I have left. My special cushion has arrived and it is a perfect fit on the tractor seat.

The Daily View is still missing it’s tree house.  The barn is shut back up as it was due to rain last night.  Soon it will be shut up for the winter. Sigh. Though, winter is not a surprise, it is not like I did not know it was coming.

I hope you all have a lovely day.

Your friend in frustration,

  1. ‘Baby’ Marmalade seems to be more interested in his tail! Amazes me how they can get such joy out of chasing something that is attached to their bum LOL. My two kittens are growing fast and I find them sleeping in the strangest places. Oliver was bad yesterday as he kept chasing the chickens, one in particular runs from him, so he thinks its a game. A couple of the others just stare him down, so I hope he gets a little ‘peck’ soon to learn it is not a game!
Sounds like your tail end is determined to remind you what you CAN’T do, so I guess until you listen to it you will keep returning to that couch – be a good girl and behave!
    Hugs Lyn

  2. Sitting on a tractor will do your back no good at all..rest, rest rest…
Comprende??? R E S T… do you not have someone to help you…shall I get on a plane?

  3. Some animals have an innate talent for being cute and photogenic. That little cat has had a tough start, and now a dedicated Nannyboo, I think he’s going to be well adjusted despite all the spoiling I know is going on in the background… He’s getting to be a beautiful colour, too. And how is Madame Sheila today? I trust she slept snugly and well?

  4. We lost Morgan the other day and finally found her asleep in Chloe’s closet in the dirty laundry basket. Last night it was the sock basket. 🙂

  5. My calico was in my laundry basket yesterday. On the clean clothes, of course. 🙂 Sorry you are still not up to snuff—-I imagine your trips to the loft have not helped at all. If I lived closer I would be headed to your farm to help you out however I could!!!! Virtual healing hugs coming your way.

  6. Celi, I wish I lived closer so I could help. I would you know. Praying for you to heal quickly, and for someone to be kind enough to help you this week. xo
    Love Boo and the Marmalade!

  7. Yes, just throw more straw over the old straw in the henhouse! They like it better that way, and it will provide more insulation! Take care of you!!! xo

  8. Oh, C., my dear, so frustrating the delayed healing. But these things take time and it is difficult to be patient.

Darling first photo and I think you needed the laughter evoked by this image, even if it hurts to laugh.

  9. Hi Celi
