I thought I wanted to go for a walk, Sheila said, but now I don’t.
The puddles are too deep and I can’t swim, she said. And my feet are cold. Let’s go back home, she said and have our peanut butter treats inside and so we did.
Snow is not always white either, we are in the dark side of the snow.
Though the plonkers don’t mind, they are a good size these pigs. Lovely and shiny.
The peahens are weathering the cold very well so far.
Though they seldom take themselves outside in the cold. There may be a little sun today I hope they will come out into it. Animals and birds need light, we all need good natural light for our health.
How about this for natural light in the West.
And in the East, the moon was rising.
Sometimes bold strokes are very faint for all their boldness.
I hope you have a lovely day.
Your friend on the farm

I agree Sheila!! XOXO – Bacon
Wow! Six hundred big ones. I was trying to think of what would move her smoothly along, perhaps a sled or maybe your snowshoes but wait, what about a couple of skateboards? Remember Stuart Little on paper clips for ice skates?
Anyway, that sunset shot just great. Moon too.
it is melting fast and she can come down to the creek with me this afternoon, after i have done the rounds! Funny that she would not come out though!.. c
I like your photos. The animals look so happy. No wonder, they can stay outside and enjoy nature!
Just like us.. welcome Jodee!
Spectacular sunset! And Boo makes me smile – he’s a very handsome boy!
I enjoyed your whole post. But my favorite photos were the last three…just outstanding! What an unusual catch of the Moon perfect for your post card collection!

I love the xo shot and the sunset…amazing! Cute dog and cat shot today, too, and Sheila really looks like she picking her way carefully through the snow, no small feat to be that graceful when you’re 600 lbs.
Beautiful sunset, Celi.
i seem to remember an old saying,,someone is about as graceful as a hog on ice.
perhaps sheila wants to maintain her dignaty
Oh Celi, Mistress of the Farmy. Your blogs bring such joy and such a wonderful smile into our life. V.
How big will Sheila be at maturity?
What a gal! Wish you could grow a pkonker for us, too. They are lovely and yummy looking.
Boo and Marmade…..really, Celi, a picture book in the making,
Sheila is mature now I would say, any bigger and I am going to have to get her a bigger bed.. c
Ooh that shot to the west – so beautiful!
It still looks mighty cold. I love the sunset an Boo & Marmalade are real heart warmers!
That sunset is beautiful. It’s been on a warming trend here too, but I know it won’t last long.
It WILL last Eva.. just a little longer! c
🙂
I love that tender look on Boo’s face when he’s with Marmalade… just beautiful XXXX
Oh, I thought all those plonkers you raised had gone and those two hefty ones were for your freezer . . .sure hope there is a fee for boarding school!! Don’t blame Sheila ~ if she is so dainty in her own bedroom nothing else could possibly do 🙂 ! And another incredible photo of the loving duo ~ perhaps they see there is a third in the ‘family’ 🙂 ?
