“Bloody Rubbish.”

The calenders have arrived.

daisy-035

I started with an order of 10. I am not sure how many will sell. They cost 19.99 each to have printed, and they really are rather beautiful.  So, as they are being sold to raise money for Sheila’s feed, I am selling them for $30.00 each plus postage.  If you would like one, please email me on celima.g.7@gmail.com and I shall send you the details.   You send me a cheque and I send you a calender. Terribly old fashioned I know. Now, if you miss out, I shall make a list and order you one specially. They take about two weeks to be printed.  And as these first ones start in April, I will begin the next batch in May.  So no-one has an obsolete month. What do you think?

I could just keep on going.

Daisy has her milking collar on now. Though as we are in the midst of a heavy snow storm with wind and wretched cold, she can wait a few days more thank you.

She does not look like she wants to wait but the bad cold is back. Please wait a little longer wee calf.

Good morning. I hope you all have a lovely day, though it looks like many of us are in the grips of this latest snow storm with wind and sleet and all kinds of other awful stuff. We have a great wind and  snow and a deep freeze tonight. I don’t know about you but there is a big part of me that wants to sleep in the barn with the others in weather like this. But with my phone in my pocket I crept out to the barn a couple of times in the night but both cows were laid quietly chewing their cud watching the storm out the door.  It is calm and sheltered in there, an oasis. There is not as much snow as predicted which is a blessing.

Love your friend on the farmy

      • i was out in the garden and stepped backward , caught my heel on a stepping stone and fell back. yes i am typing with left hand. thankfully i can do many things with my left but typing is hard. my fingers do not always hit the right keys, my writing with the left not to bad
one nice thing is–that my demon child of a dog is being very, very good(another herding breed Belgian Tervuren–he makes BO look a good boy. but he always makes me laugh even when he is being a brat

  1. You may not know this but you are one of my favorite blogger story tellers…I is love your stories and photos of the farmy. I would love a calendar please. Just send info and I will send a check. Sheila is very lovely! Stay warm and cozy.

  2. I know just how Sheila feels. I read your post mainly at bedtime – 10.30pm for me is 7.30am for you. So quite often a yawn sneaks in, although life on the Farmy is very far from boring. I wish that getting a Sheila calendar wasn’t so complicated. I have no chequebook or Paypal account, my dollars are Australian, and the postage would be ludicrous. So I shall just look wistfully at the pictures, while hordes of others snap them up, guaranteeing Miss Sheila’s rations for the next however long. But I have promised myself a Sheila Tshirt, so we’ll have to work on the how, where and who for that at some future stage.

    • I will be posting from Melbourne in october so there is plenty of time for us to come to some arrangement.. we will stay in touch on it.. c

      • I feel the same as Kate re postage, Oz $$ and no cheque book. I could have one sent to g/kids in Ohio, but 3 of them have birthdays all in a row soon, and as much as I love the farmy and all it’s critters, I don’t think a teen and a couple of pre-teens would appreciate a calendar…..I’ll wait for a tshirt when you’re here. Stay warm, as warm as possible.

  3. Me Please!! have sent you email,
On our local radio it said Chicago was get 8 inches of snow! I do hope that is wrong, I am sure even 1/8 inch is too much as this stage! We are just getting the wind and rain, but down to single digits tonight with wind chill factors back in the picture!
Love Sheila’s yawn. Did you know if you yawn in front of a dog, it will more than likely yawn right back at yer? Cats just ignore you LOL

    • Thank you Lynda.. I think chicago got most of ours, we may have got two or three inches but the wind was so horrendous that it blew it right past, next time Sheila yawn i am going to watch Ton closely, you never know.. c

  4. We’re under a blizzard watch here in eastern Ontario and the wind is up. When it gets strong enough to blow her tail around, my little poodle won’t go out. So we’re with Sheila – a duvet day coming up. Maybe a little knitting…

    • Oh I really really do too Audrey, and so far today Daisy is showing no signs of getting ready, so maybe she will hold out til the weekend. touch wood! . c

  5. I predict your calendars will be sold out before the end of the day – good luck. Really hope this next storm blows right away from the farmy. Laura

  6. I’m thinking that Sheila and I must bear a striking resemblance to each other on a morning like this. So far we just have the rain, but they are promising further nastiness for later. Spring and Daisy’s calf may arrive together. That would be cause for celebration!

  7. I came to see how much snow fell in your area. It looks like we got 3 to 4 inches but I won’t know for sure until I get out to use the snow blower. It’s a wet, heavy snow and my little blower is going to struggle with it but we’ll get it done. It looks like we may have another wave of snow yet to come but it probably won’t be much. Then the cold sets in. Let’s hope that calf isn’t in any hurry to get here. Good luck today, Celi.

    • I think we got a little less than you and yes it is wet and now getting very crunchy and hard with the temps dropping.. I really hope the calf holds off another day it will be awfully cold tonight.. c

  8. Those piggy pix are hilarious! I’m glad Daisy and Queenie are in safely tucked up in the warm barn, and so sorry your horrible winter weather has come nack. Jock is just putting out the table and chairs on the patio, and it’s warm enough to have tea outside, after a nasty cold East wind ruined yesterday. I went out in the car this morning to shop and visit a friend: ALONE! The doc says I’m OK to drive now, after eight months. It felt very weird, but I’m FREE.

    There’s a Daisy/Marcel haiga on my blog: http://vivinfrance.wordpress.com/2014/03/12/reciprocity-haiga/

    Keep warm and safe,
    love, ViV

    • I saw your Haiga, made me laugh! Bt even better to be able to get out by yourself, what a JOY that wold have been.. after all this time.. spring in every sense of the word over there.. c

  9. Yupe, snow started about an hour ago and the wind is starting to pick up. I’m indoors for the most part today, clearing away the debri on my desk and shelves so I can move them. They are in the way of my major construction project for the year. I will have to go out and put a fire in the oven, but not just yet.
