Yesterday was fine and still and stunning. Cooler but just beautiful.
Cats love that kind of weather. Manouchki follows me everywhere, into the pig’s pen, the chook house, out into the field. He is a fearless wee cat. And Boo’s wish has come true because lately Manouchki has been seen climbing into Boo’s outside bed (an old workshop drawer) with Boo. Boo goes really still, even lying slightly awkwardly so as not to startle the kitten into flight. He does like to sleep with cats.
We shifted the sheep across to the Big Barn yesterday. It took them some time to realise that there was a huge field with tons of shade just a few steps away. We had a few hiccups with the electric fences due to their wool being such a buffer. But by last night they had settled into grazing.

Marcel has become quite a menace. Trying to jump me and the dogs when we cross through the field. He is getting big too. I think he will be better in a bigger field that I don’t have to walk through every day. The sheep have a lot of housekeeping to do over there at the West Barn. The weeds are huge!

Ton always swims looking up at me as if to say. “What was it you wanted me to DO in here?”

Jess and I are taking a mountain of packaged books off to the P.O. this morning. I think I had better take deck chairs and a thermos as well. This will take some time. Thank Goodness the Post Mistress is one of The Fellowship!
I hope you have a lovely day.
Your friend on the farmy,
miss c

Boo is very sweet and those sheep with get fat with all that housekeeping 😉
Took me a minute…catching the sun! I am slow this morning. Daisy looks so healthy again, that is a relief. I hope your day goes well at the P.O.
Daisy is looking beautiful and fat and shiny … in fact all your grazers are looking good on those lush fields! Love those sheeps, even naughty Marcel 🙂 Laura
Boo and I would be the best of friends with our love for cats. 😀
Have a beautiful week ahead C.
🙂 Mandy xo
Woo hoo! The Book is coming!
Beyond excited about the book. Glad you have help to tote them—what a huge undertaking!!! But we are all so grateful. So glad Boo has a sleeping buddy again! 🙂
It’s good to hear that Boo has adopted another kitten. He is an expert nanny. Looking forward to seeing my books and distributing them to the next generation of menopausal women!
Lovely post and photos as always I feel I am right there with you. Happy September from Nashville.
Marmalade’s in the tree-very regal indeed. Also when in the world did Marcel grow up? I have noticed in the last few rounds of pictures with ALL the smaller animals that suddenly, without any notice, they are BIG. Your care, love and wonderful farmy food agrees with them.
The animals all look comfortable in their new home (fields), I look forward to a gentle thump as my book/books package lands in my hallway. Soon. Very soon!
yup, the books are on their way.. c
Hip hip hooray!
Everyone looks happy as can be.
Remind me—is Marcel going to be used for breeding or is he a wether?
Marcel is a wether, the other two are his aunties.. c
In which case …. Greetings to the Post Mistress.
Cloudy, 17C, all windows open as I can feel that summer is ending.
Goodness, Marcel is a grown sheep now! It’s good to see Daisy out and about with Queenie Wineti. Is she still going to have to wear her bra? Glad to hear that Boo Nanny is still on the job.
When her pregnancy is a little more advanced i will put her bra on.. but at the moment her udder is shrinking.. thank goodness.. c
That Ton Ton is just too adorable!!! Talk about a devoted dog!!! He is wonderful!!! xo
Ditto all of the comments above. Everybody looks WONDERFUL!
