Beautiful morning shots! I love early morning light and dew.
About your roo—his beak can be clipped so he can eat more readily. It must be a genetic thing that has caused it to be overgrown. Normally there’s no problem at all with beaks. 🙂
So that’s what sun looks like!
(The open gate is making me a bit homesick for the farm. Cool fall always meant release to freely explore again. Not just more pleasant breezes, but snakes would be sluggish or going away for the winter. The perfect place and time for kids – or those who manage to hang onto remnants of childhood.
How lovely! The end of summer with that hush is always bittersweet for me as I know winter is just around the corner. Your grass is so lush and green…..be grateful for all the rain. We have had none for months as the drought continues. Your animals look so healthy and content, thanks to your care.
What a lovely walk with Ton and Boo in the lead. It’s a wonderful thing to take pleasure in the day-to-day, and even more wonderful to share it with us 🙂
You found some finely-spun webs. I love the design of the West Barn, the path that leads there and back, the lovely-lit landscape shots–was that a hawk?
It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a morning like this. You’ve certainly captured it beautifully. We’ve got those nice big orb weaver spiders here and they’ve had a good summer with all the bugs. Lovely to see the webs so nicely defined and lit. So glad I found your blog.

It looks like he might have broken his lower beak, which allows the upper beak to overgrow.
I never clip beaks. He is old too and slow, he just stands next to the feed bin and waits for his hand outs! he is a nice rooster.
Love. Good to see camera house out and about again! 🙂

I hope you have a lovely one also, Celi! This time of year is always so rewarding! HARVEST! Even the book came at Harvest time!
