Lady Astor and her calf.
Bobby Blue is sitting against his mother – out of the wind. It was cold again yesterday. (And cold again last night just for the record. Overnight of 46F and almost June.
Lady Astor does not care – she is huge and does not feel the cold like us mere mortals.
All these images are in the order that I shot them.
Stretching.
A quick munch. Bobby Blue is already eating the pasture. Tasting stuff. 
Crossing the line, Bobby Blue smooches his mother from the other side.
Quick pose for the camera.
More smooching.
Then At Last.
Dinner.

I am sort of amazed by how moving I find these pictures. How small he is, and yet how full of personality, Sweet and a wee bit naughty. And by how big she is by comparison, stretched out like that. Massive. And the tenderness between them…I just love it.

Well, it’s clear who his Mama is, but who is Papa? Is it the AI man and his straws, or is it Carlos the Tiny but Willing? Unless he stood on a bale, it seems unfeasible, but Bobby does have a look of Carlos…

What a gorgeous creature. I love cows, they have the most gentle nature. You can just see it in their sweet, innocent eyes. Lovely mother/child moments.
