SO, BABY HAD A DRINK …

SO BABY HAD A DRINK. Then, when baby was not paying attention, Mama disappeared out into the field. Leaving Baby behind. chaos1-005

Like cow mothers do.

But all is not lost. There is another baby.  And this baby “knows the ropes”.  (One of my favourite maritime idioms being brought up in a maritime family and all).

Baby Bobby looks to Rainbow for advice. Of course,, this baby – Rainbow-  also knows how to make the most of her moment in the spotlight.

She is tiny but definitely the old kid on the block. Who me? But I am SO busy. Can’t someone else mind the new kid?

chaos1-012

I am so busy scratching. If in doubt: Scratch  – you know?  Like a cat. What? You want what?

Let’s get out of here. Grownups are so BORING.

Will you have a lovely day?  I think I will have a lovely day – I am a very determined woman when it comes to that kind of thing.  I think you are too. Determined.  Not necessarily a woman.

  1. I never associated ‘knows the ropes’ with sailors or vessels… for some reason I assumed it originated in boxing, like a boxer knows his way around the ring and therefore knows the ropes. It sounds silly I know, however it is something I grew up assuming and it just stuck xD

  2. Just finished “Shipping News” with each chapter headed with instructions for various knot-making. Fascinating— book and knots.

  3. Aah had some much needed rain today, most welcome cool down. Amazing two week old calf nearly taller than her 2 month old half sister
