ONE FAT PIG

That’s all I’ve got.  One little fat pig who looks like a topographical map of the world and his rooster.

And often I have a plethora of images, though plethora – with its bloody connotations – might not be the perfect word. Surfeit – no that is not right either as we never have enough farm images. Abundance?

Anyway – today we do not have an abundance. We just have one fat little pig who is happy as a lark at being set free into the harvested fields.

It is dark.  Early morning. I have the next three sold hogs loaded up, plus a very big jack and one of those bolt tightening cross thingies in the back of my truck, just in case.  My tire is fixed but the rims are shot.  I will take the country roads and go slow.  If I sell enough pork maybe I can buy new rims and tires.  I guess I will literally sell until the wheels fall off my chariot.  Because until the hogs are sold I cannot buy new wheels. How about that for a catch 22. Off I go.

Talk soon.

    • And, oh dear, was thinking just yesterday (when you mentioned another had gone flat): that you might need some replacement rubber… But needing both, well that’s a double whammy, isn’t it?
      *sigh* It’s always something, isn’t it?; )
Take care and good luck with raising the money to buy new wheels and tyres.

  1. Isn’t it lovely to see all the loose skin that WeiWei hasn’t any need for anymore?: ). And the scarring, well I’ll not say what’s going through my mind (yet again!) about that. It’s just so GOOD that he’s happy: )

  2. OOh, how is Tane going to take having competition in the harvested corn fields? Funny every woman reading the blog understood just which thingie you were describing and yet I can see the men rolling their eyes, sighing and prissily giving the item its toolbox name. By the way “spanner” works in SA too. :0 Laura

    • Apparently what my father taught us to use to change a flat and called a wheel or tire wrench is aka a lug wrench on this continent and according to Wikipedia: “in the United Kingdom and Australia it is commonly known as a wheel brace.”

  3. Ahh Wai Wai! His skin looks like a luner landscape. It’s amazing that he pulled through, and all down to your dedicated care. I bet it’s so much nicer to have that corn chopped down at last. Have a nice flat tyre free day!

  4. He may be fat but he so alive! Every photo of him is just so heart-warming. Brings on a good day for me. Happy selling day to you!
