I am finding the touch screen and (now) silent keyboard of the Yoga Book a much calmer, quieter and gentler start to the day. As you know I work on the images for my blog the night before, load everything onto the page then at 5am I awake and begin to write. It is nice to not have the clack clack of a conventional keyboard – I am a key basher, and the halo keyboard has stopped that behavior right in its tracks. But enough of technology. Meanwhile back on the farm …
Yesterday was cold and windy.
My fat little piglets grew about an inch in every direction.
We are still awaiting the arrival of the chicks and ducklings. They are coming from separate hatcheries and are racing each other through the countryside. They are transported by the Post Office so The Postmistress, who is one of the original members of the Fellowship of the Farmy, is tracking them and will hopefully receive them for us at the Post Office this morning. We hope. If they do come this morning she will call me and keep them warm until I arrive.
I hope they come this morning. Usually it is a lot warmer for an April delivery, this is why I ordered them for April. So lets hope they are travelling OK. I have had chicks delivered like this since I arrived in America and we have only ever had one delivery problem.
When I have sent this out into the ether I will turn all the heat lamps on so if they do arrive today everything will be warm for them.
I hope you have a lovely day.
Love celi

With a Quack, quack here and a cheap cheap there 🙂 Weather is mad everywhere, if the news is to be believed the UK had snow last week and a heat wave of 28C today! We are definitely heading towards winter, so I hope that means you will be warming up very soon. Laura
I hope it wArms up soon too!
I’m so glad the tech is working well for you; I have the feeling you can use all the peaceful, gentle starts you can get. Love that shot of all the plump little piggy bums under the warm lap. I’d like to reach in and give them each a pat…
They are pretty pattable!
🙂
May I please put myself on the ‘wanting to pat gorgeous bums; agenda . . .
So glad you are enjoying the tablet. A lot of people complain about typing on tablet keyboards, but I love it! I also love those wonderful photos of the fat, glossy piglets. They are sweet. Good luck with the fowl deliveries. It is always a bit of a worry.
Yes- I am having fun with it. Just got to get used to the smallness of it all.
I’m hoping for you and the babies! I was thinking about them this morning and hoping they are ok. I love the quiet keyboard!
They have arrived and are all good! The ducklings are especially vigorous!
I could kiss those sweet little pink trotters.
Such wee darlings
We have ordered our ducks to arrive the first week of June so that we don’t have to worry much about keeping them warm. They will have their own house and enclosure to stay in at night, and then can free range during the day. We are hoping that keeping them in their enclosure for at least a month and only feeding them in there, that they will return to it at night, as the chickens do. Fingers crossed!
Good thinking . I have heard they are very herdable too!
Your Postmistress sounds fantastic!
She is Incredible – I am very lucky!
We have sun and COLD too. I do hope the baby chicks keep warm and it’s wonderful your postmistress is kind enough to care for them, I’m keeping good thoughts all the way around. Piglets are just beautiful. Hope you have a perfect day.
They have arrived and are all good so far!
Yay!!!!!
The piglets are getting so big! I love that you have peacocks, they are stunning birds.
That is Mr Flowers – he is quite wonderful
I bet it’s amazing with his tail feathers up.
Aren’t they sweet .~ especially when fast asleep.
Mmm, lol; very well-behaved asleep; )
If I were Mr Flowers I might wonder all the time what’s going on behind me.
Also, I might be stressed out by thinking i had to keep those long feathers from dragging in the mud. I’ve heard that peacocks are fussy. Maybe that’s the reason.
Fingers crossed for a safe arrival!
Those piggy bottoms look so soft and velvety.
hi cecilia, the pigs look so cute and cozy, animals in their natural habitat are so beautiful.
I never get tired of seeing those adorable piggies…..
Love those piglets Celi.. I’m a key bashed too! 😃
