To enable me to post pictures here again I need to go back and delete some old posts. Or upgrade again! It is the most terrible choice.
And I don’t make enough money here to pay for the even existing blog pages let alone an upgrade so it is a conundrum. I am off the farm presently so making zero income is affecting my choices for sure.
So I am revisiting the delete idea.

you know, rereading this I realize that I write quite differently here than over there on substack. Here I am more in the moment. I write faster. More fluidly. Almost thoughtlessly. To old friends. I write and post in an hour where-as over at Substack I am editing and fine tuning a post for days. Here it is almost as though I am leaving a message on your phone or chatting over a steaming cup of tea.
isn’t that interesting – or maybe not interesting at all but kind of fun. 🤣
Before you even consider deleting pictures, download them all from WP (you can download the lot in one go), so that you have a backup on your computer 😉
Oh! That is a very clever idea. I will do that. I will only take out the travel ones. (NZ that is. Not my British ones!!! ) That leaves all the farm stuff intact. Thank you! An excellent move.

Sounds like one of your readers, had a great and easy solution to your photo problem. I imagine it would be different to write for Substack more like publishing a piece for print. You’re right about how it feels when you post something to a blog, and that’s one reason why I enjoy it.
How did I only just realize that?! Funny. I like it too. It is more homely over here – though we chat in both platforms so that is a good thing. Substack stretches me – makes me write better. Here is barely even edit!

I do read your Substack posts, but I usually read them by email and rarely open Substack to engage with them. Substack is just a bit of a mystery to me. I created an account and posted links to some of my blog posts there, but but don’t really know what to do with it. I just feel like I don’t need another platform to deal with. 🤷♀️
and you don’t need to. You can even just reply to a post of mine within your email if you feel the need. We can keep up with each other here – though I will go find you on SubStack just for fun and see what you popped up there. But we are both here and all is good.

Such a challenging problem! I guess we all face it if we blog long enough. Anyway, I hope you do back up all the posts before you curate.
A conundrum indeed… we bloggers, writers, social media community are in all different places figuratively, literally, financially and logistically. What works for one doesn’t for others. It’s not easy to keep up with everyone. Right now, I’m spending more time offline, so I pop in here and there.
Occasional visits to the blogosphere sounds lovely!

being off the farm makes it hard. And I have tried deleting posts and still no ability to add photos. I really need to get in touch with customer service again.
