Caught between a rock and a hard place.

Anyway – nuff said. I hate talking about money. But many of you have been reading for years and maybe you did not know about my other platform.

Back to which old posts to delete. I am trying to – I promise! I would really like to be able to post pictures here again.

What about this page! Shall we delete this one?

No. No. I hear you say! OK. Maybe this one.

Not that one either? The cries! I agree – I would hate to delete piggy pics!

This is so hard. Let’s look at one more. Honestly I thought it would be easy to find a few dozen dull posts to make some room for the future.

Oh. We might be onto something here. We could delete that? Yes. I think so. We could just delete posts that are not from the farm. I travel a lot. That should make some room surely. I bet there are piles of boring travel posts.

Better than losing pictures of my beloved farm.

Once I have solved this problem I can write here – with pictures as often as I write THERE, enabling the best of both worlds. Because next year I will be back on the farm. And you know what that means!!

In September I am back on the farm for a wee bit and there will be piles of catch up pictures. So hopefully by then I will either have raised the funds for an upgrade here in WordPress or bitten the proverbial bullet and made some space by ditching old posts.

Nothing is perfect – right? We all just keep jogging by along.

Next spring I am planning to be back on the farm full time and we are going to be roaring back into gear.

On both platforms!

And I will not be nannying any more so I will have more time to write and record. The writing on my SubStack platform is doing so well. Many of you already read over there and I am so happy about that! But some of you prefer to be here too – that’s cool. I get it! 🤣

Take care and talk soon.

How are you?!

How long have you been reading these pages? You know we have been going since 2011 right?

Love Celi

  1. you know, rereading this I realize that I write quite differently here than over there on substack. Here I am more in the moment. I write faster. More fluidly. Almost thoughtlessly. To old friends. I write and post in an hour where-as over at Substack I am editing and fine tuning a post for days. Here it is almost as though I am leaving a message on your phone or chatting over a steaming cup of tea.
isn’t that interesting – or maybe not interesting at all but kind of fun. 🤣

  2. Before you even consider deleting pictures, download them all from WP (you can download the lot in one go), so that you have a backup on your computer 😉

  3. Sounds like one of your readers, had a great and easy solution to your photo problem. I imagine it would be different to write for Substack more like publishing a piece for print. You’re right about how it feels when you post something to a blog, and that’s one reason why I enjoy it.

    • How did I only just realize that?! Funny. I like it too. It is more homely over here – though we chat in both platforms so that is a good thing. Substack stretches me – makes me write better. Here is barely even edit!

      🤣🤣

  4. I do read your Substack posts, but I usually read them by email and rarely open Substack to engage with them. Substack is just a bit of a mystery to me. I created an account and posted links to some of my blog posts there, but but don’t really know what to do with it. I just feel like I don’t need another platform to deal with. 🤷‍♀️
