Lunar Eclipse at Dawn on the Farmy : December 10, 2011

As the sun at my back rose, the moon past the barn set, losing slithers of itself as it fell.

Dawn on Saturday, December 10, 2011.  10F (-12C).  A clear cold day ahead.  Time to feed the cows.

Have a great day.

  1. I had fully intended to watch the eclipse this morning. Max even cooperated and woke me at 5:30. (Normally he starts nudging me around 3 – 4:00 am.) And I forgot all about it until I saw your post’s email in my inbox. Well, it’s gone now. If only it had taken this Winter chill with it. Thanks, Celi, for sharing your photos with us.

  2. Beautiful black and white images, and as I had no idea we were having a lunar eclipse, thanks for allowing me to see it through your lens! Say, who is that in the foreground of the last shot…TonTon, another pup and is it Your John?

    • Yes that is Our John and TonTon. The other dog is Big Dog, that is Johns dog, he found him tied to a fence post with wire around his neck at a job site, poor thing had to stand or he would have strangled, a wee pup, oh about 10 or 11 years ago now.. he is devoted to John. .. c

  3. Gaah! I was up early but wasn’t aware of the event. Thankfully, you were and got a great sequence of shots for us. Thanks Cecelia!

    • That is so true, there should be at least three different grades of like and then a like button for .. um, ‘I am not sure what to say but thanks for sharing!!’ c

    • I am for the glacial bubble theory, thank you Roger. This morning my glove got wet, then I tried to hook a metal latch and my glove was frozen to the latch within a milli second, I had to take my hand out of the frozen glove and the rip it off the metal.. (I suppose i am lucky it was not my tongue!!) That is when I thought enough already, breakfast time! .. c
