This is the result of multi tasking. Do not mix trying not to repack, simmering a redwine reduction for tonight’s pasta, making a homemade pizza for lunch, cleaning out the fridge, stamping cards and making the Final List, plus cleaning the basement laundry when I really should have been tidying the bedroom.
A beautiful crust, the last of the home made cheese, olives and mushrooms.. burnt to perfection. Though quite edible when one is hungry and unable to focus on the task at hand.
Even the sun decided not to bother yesterday as we struggled through the hiatus day. The day before the day before. Too early to do the final pack, not too late to be cleaning out the fridge.
The farmy quietly went about its business.
What lovely fat sheep above all the ruckus in their north field.

Sheila was thrilled that the fridge was being cleaned out and everything that would have gone off while I am away was brought out for their lunch. Poor Piggie, her mascara is running.
Daisy took the time to do some house work of her own and went into the pigs paddock to do some tidying up of their hay. Her rather belligerent attitude is very apparent in this shot.

Not that Sheila cares. Though once Queenie joined her all hell broke loose as Charlotte loves Queenie and Queenie does not love Charlotte. I had to abandon the camera and separate them after I saw Charlotte herding the galloping Hereford round and round the field. Queenie was in quite a lather and Charlotte was laughing like a drain. Every time Queenie slowed down Charlotte leapt at her to keep her moving, barking like a dog, very naughty behaviour. Of course TonTon was not sure what to do so he ran after Charlotte, who was running after the cow, who was running away. They all pushed through their respective gates, got a telling off, and were sent to their rooms, with the point of my finger, to think about their behaviour.
Good morning I hope you have a lovely day! We have another warm one.
My last day on the farmy for over three weeks. Just a few more things then I am ready to go. I think. There comes a time when you have to lift your hands off and say – OK, I am done. It’s all yours now. That time is after milking this evening.
The first post as a travel blog will be early tomorrow morning, with a last long shot before we hit the road !
See you then.

You have seriously gorgeous animals! Clearly very well kept :D. I’m not good at multi tasking… then, I’m a man so…
Men are good at mono tasking though, especially when a newspaper is involved! morning Fruge! c
Haha – you’ll be glad to know I don’t read papers!
Ah, maybe I should have said when you read the news!! c

Pigs bark???? Have a grand trip, Miss c. t
Pigs most definitely bark! they have a whole range of voices.. c
I had no idea! ~L
They also have hackles which stand up on their back when they are unsure or afraid Mine bark if you suprise them or they are feeling skittish and giddy so it seems to be a fun thing for them.
The most ridiculous sound is the short high pitched squeaks they make when they want their belly scratched. The sound is usually followed by 100kg of pig collapsing on your feet just to be sure you know what they want!
I love the Kupa’s colors in the brown winter backdrop. I would have eaten your pizza. Crispy cheese is yummy and home “grown” is even better. I hope you have a wonderful trip. Snowing here. 🙂
The pizza was hot and good even though it had been forgotton.. SNOW!!! it better not come here until i am safely in the air! c
