A quick show of hands.

Tshirts-020

Very quickly I would like to ask a favour. I am still working on the blog page and due to popular demand; the T Shirts. I need to know how many of you might want to buy a Sheila The Sassy T Shirt.  If you have a moment could you click on your size so I can get a rough count. The least I have to  buy to get a reasonable price is 72. As you can imagine this is a fair amount of money up front so I need to see if the idea is viable.  This is not an obligation just a swift count of raised hands.

Of course there are a few sites where you could buy a Sheila T shirt straight from the site, they will be more expensive but a lot less work for all involved. So we have options.

Though I am having a great deal of trouble with the paypal button!

However to begin; lets see a show of hands!

Yesterday was so cold I lost my sense of stoic.  It really was very cold. Close your mouth and jog cold. Chest hurting cold. (Yes I remembered to do my face yoga!) I am saying four more days then the weather will begin a slight upwards trend. What do you think?

Good morning. Have a lovely day. Back to work for us all. I still have a lot to do with this new theme. Let me know if it is not working for you; it will help me to spot any problems.

  1. I’m a neighbor just north east of you a bit. You just keep at it. You are very creative and I must say that you have made the winter here a wee bit more bareable. I’ll see you in the pub at some point. I hope to be working with Jeff soon on some wood working. best wishes , yer Norwegian neighbor, Linnea

    • Oh Linnea, wonderful to see you here.. we certainly are slogging all the way to the end of this winter, hope all is well with your animals.. c

  2. Oh, I’m so bad! I hate to throw a cog in the works, and I’ll duck just after I write this but I always have a hard time when things I love change. 😦 I know, I’m probably OCD) The things which bother me are a too narrow viewing pane for the photos on my pc and, for example, I can’t get all of the photo of Boo the wonder dog on the page all at once without scrolling up and down, and that’s the a default 100% resolution. (I can when I tighten up on the resolution and take it to 90%), and I don’t like having to click on for an extra step to get to a post. I like the scrolling posts to be in full. What I do like is that the header keeps changing thru the three posts I can see…very sweet, and the crisp, clean look. What I don’t like is the widgets at the bottom, what I do like is your info still on the top. Ducking for cover now. X

    • I also am not sure about the widgets at the bottom, but there is no other option that i can see.. no need to duck for cover.. if everyone liked the same thing we would be a dead boring bunch.. When I began the blog I always hankered for bigger images, it makes me work harder.. hopefully things will get better as I tweak about.. c

      • veronica, i think i am going to take out the header altogether, this may be part of the problem and with the text being IN the featured shot, there really is no need for a header at all.. I will do that and let me know if this cleans things up a bit for you.. strange though that you have to scroll down to get all of Boo, .. c

        • I’m ducking with Veronica….this is all very nice but I liked the old blog, and I also like to be able to see the post in full without having to do the extra click….I’ve given up on blogs because of this……but they say change is as good as a holiday, and I’ll get used to it. And I admire your determination to get it all just right. I probably wouldn’t buy tshirts for myself because of the postage costs ( to Murwillumbah NSW Australia, for the reader who likes to know where we’re all from ) but depending on how much they are, I’d get them for my g/kids in Ohio. Finger’s crossed for warm weather soon, our warm is gradually leaving, so the world is turning, and so it must be your turn soon for the warmth.

          • Oh dear, i hope you are not going to give up on me!? That would be awful.. I have rolled the dice now though and cannot go back to the old one, so i hope you can get used to the new way.. c

      • You know, I like WP and am really comfy with it, but the more I look at Squarespace, like this one, http://bleubirdblog.com the more I like it. But then it’s so much work and need to hire a coder to transfer everything that I can’t even consider that.

        • Ah, yes, and I think I have had some jumbling of past posts in this transition.. I will puddle along for another year and see what comes up next.. I shall check out this look.. thank you, veronica, I put up a new thinner header but I am not sure if that has made it better, without it there were other issues.. sigh.. c

          • You know, I tried to do something similar with my WP, and I chose the Genesis theme to have it as clean as possible. You have to buy Genesis, but it has that look I like. Plus I don’t really want a header, but you can have a header if you like. The side bars, header, footer, can all carry the relevant important info where ever you like them and the colour is just a bit of coding in the menus to get it the colour you like. (I know, coding freaks me out too, but if I can manage then anyone can…lol)

  3. Looks great. But one thing I like to see is the link to the previous post so I can easily see if I missed a day. (I know it’s in my email, but I prefer to go to bed with my iPad and read blogs before I go to sleep.) Just like with books in series, I want to make sure I read in order.

  4. The photo of Boo overlaps the photo of Marcel. I don’t know why. I love the beige background and the font. I don’t like PayPal and would prefer to pay with a credit card .

  5. Love the new look…very pretty and easy to read. Looking forward to buying a shirt or two. I have two “Sheilas” in my life..both farm women…they will love them.
We got snow last night…just a dusting over a heavy rain so it was icy and slippery today in Nashville. The city is so quiet. Stay warm.

  6. Love the new look. However, yesterday none of my comments appeared. I might have to email you to let you know, although I don’t know how to fix it.

  7. The new theme is beautiful! It shows up a bit HUGE compared to the old one for me (in Chrome). It’s not a “problem” per se, I’ll get used to it 🙂

    ps. Thanks for writing!

  8. The new format is working well for me, and fits nicely on my screen. (But just FYI, I too like easy access to the link to previous posts, and also the sidebar widgets, esp the community.)
I voted for a roomy xx-large t-shirt, perfect for relaxing Sheila style but put me down also for a x-large as I’ll give it to my friend, Mrs S., who although not a blogger often Likes the Farmy FB pics. And depending on unit costs, maybe more… you may need an extra bag for Sheila t-shirts when you visit Melbourne 🙂

    • Excellent I will get back in touch for an order from you closer to the time .. that all sounds wonderful. I can always jam in a few more, I travel with lots of room so i can collect treasures as i travel.. c
