A quick show of hands.

Tshirts-020

Very quickly I would like to ask a favour. I am still working on the blog page and due to popular demand; the T Shirts. I need to know how many of you might want to buy a Sheila The Sassy T Shirt.  If you have a moment could you click on your size so I can get a rough count. The least I have to  buy to get a reasonable price is 72. As you can imagine this is a fair amount of money up front so I need to see if the idea is viable.  This is not an obligation just a swift count of raised hands.

Of course there are a few sites where you could buy a Sheila T shirt straight from the site, they will be more expensive but a lot less work for all involved. So we have options.

Though I am having a great deal of trouble with the paypal button!

However to begin; lets see a show of hands!

Yesterday was so cold I lost my sense of stoic.  It really was very cold. Close your mouth and jog cold. Chest hurting cold. (Yes I remembered to do my face yoga!) I am saying four more days then the weather will begin a slight upwards trend. What do you think?

Good morning. Have a lovely day. Back to work for us all. I still have a lot to do with this new theme. Let me know if it is not working for you; it will help me to spot any problems.

  1. Looking good on the iPad – header is huge and fits perfectly, as is the pic of Boo in the snow – but the other two are side by side so much smaller. Maybe that was intentional, but thought I’d throw that out there!

  2. Hopefully I have been sprung from Spam jail where I have been languishing since the new format. I love the new look….WOW…takes up the whole screen. Like having Sheila in the room with me. (such a cutie). A couple of T-shirts for me and a calendar, too. Love the dark spots on Marcel’s ears. Sorry you are so very cold. Spring will be super sweet for you this year.

  3. I see a couple of comments about the beige/cream background…..mine is stark white and very hard to read…..is this my computer I wonder? I’ve refreshed it in case you changed it at some point, but it’s still bright, bright white!

    • no, the text itself if black on white as usual.. in mine anyway!! maybe we are all seeing different things.. mercy, this is tougher than i thought.. c

      • My comments section is pale blue with black writing……lovely to read….but your posts are black on white….harder to read as in harsh and glarey …on my old eyes. Maybe it’s the larger spread out format, I don’t remember reading the old blog…sniff sniff….being an issue

        • My post section is a soft white and not glarey at all. But I have an old computer or maybe my oldish eyes. Anybody else having these problems?

  4. I love the ‘facewash’! Crisp, clean and clear, I reduced it to 90% and it works fine for me. My only quibble (and I think you are working on it) is the first two words ‘A Quick’ are almost lost in Marcel’s wool.

I would love a t-shirt, but do not have a paypal account. I’m a 12 UK/10 US, is that a medium size? I’m off to check out zazzle and redbubble, they are both new to me.

  5. Oh dear, I am not going to make matters easier!. I DO like the simple clarity of the new format and have no problems viewing the post but have to admit it is too wide for comfort and somehow I miss the ‘old feel’; without being able to explain clearly this presents more clinically! Sorry, but I am being honest!! Also my background is a bright sky blue? As far as the T-shirts go I would love one BUT I ONLY do Paypal [find it fabulous and use it at least a dozen times weekly for everything as I live rurally] and not knowing the online coys you mention, not knowing the price + postage to Australia but knowing how long it takes to clear an Oz cheque in the US I am hesitant to put up my hand with as lean a pocketbook as I have. If you have spare ‘L’s by the time you come Down Under [but with all the presents for all the children how could you have room in your suitcase?] I would be very happy to wear ‘Sheila’ next summer 🙂 ! Celi, I am not being negative just honest and pragmatic!!!

  6. All in all it’s looking good. I view on a laptop and I don’t mind scrolling to see pics if needed, however the control minus thing is a great thing to know. I’m just uncomfortable with having to do the extra click to get to the post, I’m old-fashioned I guess and like to have the whole thing to scroll through.

Interested in a T-shirt (I voted). I’m wondering if you’re planning on a full colour pic? Just a thought to control costs – how about taking a photo of Sheila and doing a simple line drawing – outline style – that gives the “flavour” without full colour?

Keep working at it till you get the blog you want.
Also – did you check out calendar costs with Saint Tim from The Crazy Sheep Lady?

  7. I commented through Facebook that I can’t see the website’s Comments section in Internet Explorer — shows up fine in Mozilla Firefox, though. And I agree that the photos are too big to see now in one go — thanks for the tip about using Control-minus to scale back (of course now I can barely make out the font as I type — you can’t win!)

  8. Th site’s looking good, Celi. I’ve checked my t-shirt box and had to stop myself from going back again and again. Sorry, it’s a habit that comes from living and voting in Chicago. 🙂

  9. On my PC laptop, with Firefox, I see only Marcel’s head at the top. When I looked on my iPad, I see part of Mother Teresa’s quote, the first word is missing, and is missing from guardian. There is text overlapping Marcel, but it is so light it can’t be read. Aha! When I clicked on the date, it opened in another window. Mother Teresa’s quote is gone, the text of the title on Marcel’s head is unreadable. I LOVE the nice blue background for the comments, and it shows as a border around the white blog post. I don’t mind the black on white of the post. You are so brave to be updating your theme.

  10. I’m enjoying your blog experiments, but am frustrated because I can no longer find how to go back to your previous post (which I often like to do, to check comments or just to re-read). That information, i.e. ‘older post’ or ‘newer post’ seems to have gone. I just see Marcel’s head at the top, but no Mother Teresa quote.

  11. I’m getting cross with the weather. I know that’s completely unreasonable. But I don’t want it to be cold for you ANYMORE. I want you to be warm, and not have sore lungs from inhaling cold air. I don’t want your toilet to swoosh. Warm, be warm, I’m doing a little sun chant for you. Bring on the white russians if that fails… xxx

  12. Hi Cindders, I ticked small but that would probably depend on whether the cotton is pre-shrunk, etc. If not then I’d prolly order a medium. Can’t wait to show my Sheila love! Love the new blog layout!
