Farm to table

Another big farm to table lunch being prepared as I write. Amanda and I will be cooking all morning then eating and drinking all afternoon. We will be seating twelve.

Today I am featuring great, big, juicy heirloom tomatoes.  I am off out to pick them right now. John has dug fresh new potatoes for potato salad. And we have cucumber and onion pickles chilling in the fridge. I cooked a big pork roast smothered in paprika and honey yesterday and will carve that wafer thin to be served with fresh bread and a herb butter.

Tane will just lay about in his puddle and wait for the leftovers.

He is on a get fat diet and Tima is on a get thin diet and Wai is on a get well diet. So they  will all have seperate bowls of food.

I will be back with any news tomorrow but for now “Let’s get cooking!”

I hope you have a lovely day.

Love celi

  1. That is a completely different pig… I cannot believe how energetic and active he is, and although those open areas on his back are terrible, I think the armour plating must have been worse for him. Love how he comes to your voice. Enjoy your feast 🙂

  2. Sounds like a beautiful summer day. And the video of Wai being corralled is a perfect example of a Border Collie doing his job. Ton really has the heart for it. Hope your day is a perfect one. — Mame. 😊

  3. Everything and everyone should eat what is best for them at the time. I like how each gets what they need. Wai’s diet is probably most important and you are so wise to have him on the get well diet .
