We are so afraid of winter! The dates of the seasons have nothing at all to do with the actual weather don’t you think?
I quite agree. Up north winter can surprise one in early November and it can spoil thoughts of spring by tossing in a blizzard in May.

Love the sunrise/sunset photo, beautiful colours. And I can’t help loving the photo of the poor chook with her undies all ruffled by the wind. So undignified… Have you started your holiday countdown or don’t you do that? For me, counting down the days adds to the anticipated pleasure.

Sun here today as well, but no farming activities. Instead, a morning spent at the Briitish Ambassador’s residence attending a fete for Save the Children. Beautiful day and beautiful setting.
50 degrees and sunny sounds great to me ……we’ve been having unseasonably warm weather here- sunny 60 degrees and we’re in the Northern California mountains aty 3500′ altitude. Snow on the mountains tho- Shasta is at 14,000 feet and the Eddy’s are around 6000′. Have a lovely day!
