That is a rather grand title for such an ordinary post. But for me: Triage means dealing with the task that has a better chance of getting finished and priorities means putting the most important to the top of the list. Not the same thing at all. And why I would wake up to find this mental discussion at the top of my list I have no idea.Because hopefully all I need today is a little list of jobs for the day. Maybe a little priority tweaking and hopefully no triage.

I know, we could ask Aunty Google but where is the fun in that.

One of these new cows has some changes in her udder, she is tightening up. I need to find names for these girls.
And talking of fun I am into my second week of having my news feeds turned OFF. And my anxiety levels have drooped in their loop to delicious relaxed lows. News feeds are just not even sane anymore. They are an endless unrelenting feeding frenzy. I prefer my information pod casts.

When do we call the ducklings – ducks. We are in the gangly adolescent stage I think.
My first woofer guest helper has arrived and she will do very well. Her name is Anna. Let the gardens commence!
I hope you have a lovely day.

Leila and Melanie? Both names that mean ‘black, or dark haired’. Or there’s Ciara and Darcy, same meaning. And I reckon your adolescent ducklings will turn into ducks when they are fully hard feathered and there’s no embarrassing baby-down left on them…
They are growing up so fast. The chicken chicks are still minute in comparison
I am in the triage vs priority mode, too. So much to get done, so hard to balance EVERYTHING. The new cows have a lovely look to them. Are they settling in alright?
Yes they are – they are quite calm
And even letting me a little close.
my goodness those ducklings are getting huge!…I did not think that they would grow so quickly….its only a couple of weeks or so that they arrived and now look at them…all growed up and looking sprightly
enjoy you time with Miss Anna..
lots o love me in bg
Lots o love for you too !
Hah! There’s a third stage as well, it’s “what ever I trip over and feel like doing that moment; unless something breaks and I fix that (unless of course I’m fed up with fixing that thing and I ignore it till I’m in a better mood)”. My list of things to do and things to finish is so long I’m always tripping over something.
Lovely day, ours almost matches yours now 🙂
Yes! There is a third stage, and maybe even a fourth, that being when in the midst of one chore you come upon something equally important that needs doing and begin doing that, quite forgetting about the chore you were originally doing until you have begun yet a third or fourth chore and suddenly you realize the first chore has not been completed, and then circle back to that one, and thus it goes on as such! 🙂
Oh my yes! I forgot that stage!!
Ohmygosh, you’ve nailed it perfectly! It seems to be the story of my life lately – yes, the coop door needed fixing, I’ll get to it, then the board on the bottom totally fell off. That moved that job to the top of the list and I still haven’t finished the job I WAS doing when that happened. It’s truly never ending.
You are wise to avoid news feeds.
I am a happier person. The news makes me feel helpless
yup
I personally like flower names for cows…maybe Daisy May and Cornflower.
Love those names!
I miss my old Daisy. Sigh. Flower names are lovely for cows though
I’m going to turn my news feed off. I’ve been meaning to, and reading your post has brought it to the top of my to-do list. I’m glad you’ve got at least one woofer! Do you have more this summer? And I’m eagerky awaiting the names for your 2 new soon-to-be-mama cows! Hope you get lots done in the garden.
I have one more coming after my return from Greece which will be well timed.
news feeds would drive me to drink…..your cows look quite nice and your teenage ducks are growing so quickly. Have a lovely day !
Why I ever thought I would want to read news on my phone!!
My eldest step daughter couldn’t believe I have no new feeds turned on. I told her I will surely hear all the news eventually, probably multiple times.
Yay for a woofer! Good you get a little help before you leave. Everything looks lovely today, even gangly teenage ducks. Wishing you a day with no emergencies. 😉
So far your wishes are coming true
Sadly I think all news services (everywhere) have descended to the same level as the National Enquirer.

Exactly!
Gangly teenage ducks indeed, soon we will all be point and saying over the first eggs. Laura
Oohing and aahing over eggs.
Good Morning! I too prefer simple names. How about the obvious…May (Mae) and June?
How about Denise and Dahlia
Or Katy and Kathleen.
Hmm – an Irish influence / let’s go down that road – Kathleen and ?
Maeve?
“Brena: Raven-haired Celtic woman”
(Breña)
Newsfeed free can contribute to some peace of mind. I can empathize with the challenges of titling a post. The explanation is a good one 🙂
The young ducks are at that awkward spotty looking stage of their development. Soon they’ll be sleek and strutting their stuff as adults.
