LAST DAY
Tomorrow I leave for California – not for long – six days I think – so today John will do all the morning chores by himself so he can ask me any questions.

CHECKS AND BALANCES
Firstly, thank you so much for your incredible outpouring of support yesterday. It means so much to me to hear such care from so many of you.

CLEAR SKIES
And cold. This morning it is clear and cold. I am not going to start chores too early because all the animals will be staying still and curled up in their warm straw sleeping in.

LEGAL
I am now legal to sell eggs to the restaurants in Chicago and yesterday the chickens laid almost three dozen eggs and the ducks laid sixteen eggs. They are taking a long time to get big though.

THE EGG INSPECTOR
The egg inspector comes today. We are ready for him. Though little poo bum might stay in his bedroom for the visit.
