A MOUSE AND A SKUNK

AWAY AWAY

This morning I spoke at an organic grain conference. It went well and I had a good time. Putting the 160 into organic crops has certainly opened the door to hew opportunities. The ice was heavy yesterday. And the light low. However today the temperatures are way up above freezing again. Close to 50 actually.…

LAYERS

The ducks are still only laying one or two eggs a day. The chickens maybe six on a good day. This is quite natural. The winter is their time for rest.

MELTING

The good news is that the ice in the blue insulated water trough that froze solid last week melted enough for us to be able to hook out the faulty water heater and jam a new one in.

TRACKS

Yesterday John picked up the snow plough on the way home from the airport and ploughed his way up the lane. A dramatic return. And now I can get my car out again!
